Work
In the past, I have worked for human
service agencies with individuals with developmental
disabilities. I find this job very rewarding and have
learned so much from working there.
My current goals are to graduate with
my Developmental Psychology PhD and, after Post-Doc,
I would like to continue my research, specializing in and researching
the development of psychopathology in children with
and without mental retardation, including the assessment,
prevention and treatment of psychopathology in and out of school.
My academic career has been focused
on a general overview of most areas of psychology --
a field interested in affect (emotion), behavior, and
cognition (thinking). In my first year at Yale
graduate school, I focused my interests in developmental
disabilities, psychopathology, and education.
My specific interests are in the development
and of psychopathology and cognitive abilities and disabilites.
I am very interested in developing programs for children
with mental health issues within the context of the
school. I am also interested in dual diagnosis (psychopathology
and mental retardation) and assessment.

(subjective term) information about Misty's academics,
